Why us
Why Gateshead homeowners choose us
Time-served in five trades
Bricklaying, joinery, plastering, plumbing and electrical — served properly, not picked up on the way. In the industry since 1986.
Ex-Forces owned
8 years in the British Army between two stints in the trade. Timekeeping and tidiness are not extras here.
One firm for the whole job
Groundworks, brickwork, joinery, plastering, plumbing and electrical under one roof. You are not hiring five trades and refereeing when they blame each other.
The local picture
Builders in Gateshead, done properly
Gateshead runs from dense terrace by the river out to Low Fell, Whickham and Sunniside, where the plots get bigger and the ground starts to move uphill. That slope is the defining feature of a lot of the work we do here — gardens in Low Fell and Whickham are frequently terraced or want to be, and a sloping plot turns a straightforward patio into a retaining wall job with drainage behind it. Further out towards Rowlands Gill and Burnopfield you are into former colliery ground, where a coal mining risk assessment is a routine part of any new foundation, and it is far cheaper to establish that before the groundworks are priced than after.

In their own words
Trusted by homeowners across the North East
Real customers, real names, real jobs.
No. Free site visit and written quote across the whole borough, with no call-out charge.
It is a few minutes over the river from the middle of our patch, so site visits are usually within a few days.
Usually, by terracing it into levels with retaining walls rather than simply moving soil around. A wall holding back any real height needs proper foundations and drainage behind it — that is a groundworks job, which is the part of landscaping we do anyway.
It can be in the western parts of the borough. A coal mining risk assessment is routine for new foundations in former colliery areas, and we will tell you at the site visit whether your address is likely to need one.
