This website is operated by GGH Building Services Ltd, company number 15967755, trading as GGH Building Services. Using this site means you accept these terms.

Quotes and pricing

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. A quote covers only the work described in it. Where something cannot be seen until the job starts — ground conditions, what is behind a wall, the state of an existing base or roof structure — we will stop, tell you what we have found and agree any change in writing before continuing. We do not vary a price without your agreement.

Deposits and payment

For most jobs we ask for a deposit to cover materials before work starts, with the balance due on completion. On longer jobs we agree staged payments in writing at the quote stage so you always know what is due and when. We accept bank transfer. Deposit amounts and payment stages are set out on your written quote — there are no charges that are not on it.

Cancellation

Where a contract is agreed away from our premises — at your home, for example — you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing it, without giving a reason. If you ask us to start work within that 14-day period and then cancel, we may charge for work already carried out and materials already ordered. To cancel, tell us in writing by email or post. Once work has started and the cancellation period has passed, we will agree any costs with you before stopping.

Guarantee

Any guarantee we give covers failure caused by our workmanship. It does not cover fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, movement or defects in parts of the building we did not work on, work later altered by somebody else, or a failure to carry out reasonable maintenance. Where a manufacturer guarantees a product we have installed, that guarantee is theirs and we will pass the details to you.

Communications

By submitting an enquiry and giving your phone number, you agree we may contact you about that enquiry by phone, text or email. You can opt out at any time by replying or emailing info@gghbuildingservices.co.uk.

This website

We try to keep the information here accurate, but prices, timescales and availability can change. Photographs show work we have carried out unless labelled otherwise.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our liability in connection with any job is limited to the price paid for that job. We carry public liability insurance; details are available on request.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
